OTTAWA — For the last six years the Canadian Child Care Federation has watched the growth of Storypark – a respected partner in early learning and child care – become a leading technology solution in Canada to support quality outcomes for children, families and teams.
Last week they announced a new partnership with Compass Early Learning and Care, who join the growing community of quality-focused multi-site organizations across Canada using Storypark. These include Family Day Care, Mothercraft, Learning Enrichment Foundation, Andrew Fleck Children’s Services, George Brown College, Vancouver Society of Children’s Centres, Child Development Dayhomes (Alberta), and the city of Peterborough Council.
Lorrie Baird, Pedagogical Link/Consultant of Compass Early Learning says, “We’re all really thrilled to solidify our relationship with Storypark. It has been a journey to get here and one that has created a wonderful relationship that I know we will continue to grow. I honestly can’t wait to dive in and the Professional Learning tools will have a huge and important impact. The shared values were an important aspect of our decision to join the Storypark team.”
“Storypark is constantly exploring and evolving to support the needs of Canadian ECE services” says Marni Flaherty, Interim CEO of the CCCF. “Their new suite of tools to support professional development and collaboration within teams provides new opportunities for enhancing a sense of belonging, mentoring, and personalized professional development. These tools directly align with CWELCC’s funding priorities, which future-focused organizations are realizing.”
Marni continues “We chose to partner with Storypark because of their values and purpose. This focus also means their platform is designed differently – with more of a child-centric lens.”
Creating quality outcomes for children relies primarily on having an engaged, confident and capable team. Storypark uniquely offers family engagement, professional development, team communication and collaboration tools.
In a recent article, Dan Wise, Director of Programs at Today’s Family said, “the ability for educators to easily record evidence and also to reflect on their practice is fantastic, and when coupled with our new online community of practice and real-time analytics, this unlocks a lot of new opportunities for us to better personalize and support each educator’s career development.”
“We’re really proud to be working with CCCF, Compass Early Learning and so many other quality-focused organizations across Canada who share similar values and aspirations as us” says Peter Dixon, Storypark Co-Founder.
“Our purpose is to help every child to fulfill their unique potential by connecting and empowering the community around them. We are constantly innovating and investing in resources for the ECE profession, including in collaboration with partners like the Environmental Kinship Initiative and Encyclopedia of Early Childhood Development.”
