Member FAQ

Yes, your membership is free if you belong to one of our affiliate organizations. Your affiliate has a code you’ll need to enter during signup on our site. On our signup page, just above the symbols for valid methods of payment, you’ll see a “Have a coupon?” field in orange. Simply place your code in this box and continue to fill out your application. Your membership cost should reduce to $0.

Your membership will be good for one year, at which point you can renew using the new code your affiliate will provide. Currently all existing affiliate members have a valid CCCF membership until November 2021.

Good question! In moving to this new site we were able to move over your name, address, email, and membership type. You have a valid membership on this site if you had one on the old site.

That being said, we could not migrate your old password from our old site. To login initially on our site, head to our login page
and use the “Forgot Password” function and use the same email you used on our old site. You will receive a link to change your password. Be sure to check your “other/update” folder if you did not receive the email in your main inbox folder. If you still did not receive an email, please contact us.

This transformation to an all new CCCF has been exciting. Our small team has been working very hard on this initiative. We have not forgotten about our valued French members and readers. We are currently planning how to translate and populate our French content. Rest assured, it’s important to us too. We will update you once the scope of this translation project has been determined. Merci de pour vôtre patience.

Email us at info@cccf-fcsge.ca and we’ll make arrangements with you to refund that order and grant you access. We’ll just need your coupon code, name, and affiliate organization.

To unsubscribe from out newsletter, please follow this link

Note that you cannot unsubscribe from the automatic system emails we send for you to manage your membership with us. These need to be sent for you to maintain your membership for as long as you’re an active member with us.

Any proof of enrolment in your program is sufficient. You can email this to students@cccf-fcsge.ca after you’ve signed up, with the subject of your email being “student identification.”

At that point we will verify your student  enrolment for your membership.

One year. You will receive a renewal notice near the end of your membership period.

Yes! We are migrating all of our original content onto our new site – which is a large task! Our goal is to have a very robust members-content section soon, full of information aimed at helping you and your career development.

We’ve created a FAQ just for webinars. Please navigate to our ECE webinars page and find our FAQ near the bottom of that page.

We’ll be providing our members with a registration link soon so they can start enjoying their discounts.

We provide all of our members with a code to access course discounts. It will be in your confirmation email, and in your Account Page once you login.

We hope that people from all over want to join in our mission to create high quality child care. Although Supporters don’t have voting rights and aren’t a part of Econocoop, they do have access to numerous other benefits. They also help by contributing new content to the community.

Anyone working in licensed child care has to apply for certification. You will find certification information for your province or territory on our child care certification page.

With your resume and cover letter ready (we’ll provide guides for this soon), contact child care centres and introduce yourself! You can call, email, or even message them on social media. Don’t be discouraged if you don’t get a reply. Try again a few days later to give them your resume in person. Remember that due to safety reasons you need to call first. Tell them you live in their area, and that you’re looking for a position.

On our provincial and territorial map we link to child care associations in your area. Follow the link to your association and join today. The associations provide valuable information to anyone starting out in their career. Even experienced ECEs can benefit. You’ll also enjoy valuable member benefits like discounts, meet other ECEs, and become a part of the child care movement in Canada.

If you join your provincial or territorial affiliate, you’re automatically also a member of the CCCF.

All licensed and regulated quality child care programs in Canada require these for the safety and security of children and families.

If you’re just starting out:

  1. Get certified!
  2. Find the requirements for your province or territory
  3. Write your resume and begin your job search. We’ll provide tips on this soon.
  4. Get your vulnerable sector check and first aid training

Early Childhood Educators (ECEs) are incredible professionals that have rewarding, important and demanding careers. They work with young children (and their families), ages 0-12, nurturing and educating them, observing and planning for their growth and development while ensuring that they are healthy. They create interactive and dynamic learning environments where children develop social skills, develop cognitive skills and foster lifelong learning. ECEs work in child care centres, classrooms, home child cares, preschool, and parent drop-in programs. You do not need a teaching degree to be an ECE, but you do need your ECE diploma.
